What can I expect from Titanic. The Human Story?
Explore the real story of the RMS Titanic through recreations and personal objects that will allow you to connect with the passengers and the crew in a narrative, emotional visit.
Where is the experience located?
The venue is located at Level Q, Uptown, 91 Queen St, Brisbane City QLD 4000. The entrance can be found on Queen St mall opposite Westpac or inside Uptown next to Just Jeans.
Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
This experience is held indoors in an air-conditioned venue.
How long does the experience last?
The visit has an estimated duration of 80-90 minutes. Please note the last session of the day, the doors will close 15 minutes after the start time and the venue closes 90 minutes after the last session’s start time.
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?
Unfortunately, there won't be food or beverage for purchase at this event. However, Uptown, where the event is located, has many food retailers onsite.
Is there parking available?
There is paid parking available within Uptown. Access is via 66 Elizabeth Street, Brisbane and pre-bookings can be made via the
Uptown website.
Will there be additional sessions?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee there will be extra dates. Please refer to the experience page for updated information on availability, as those are the confirmed dates and timings.
Will there be an audio guide?
Yes, the audio guide is available in English and is included in your ticket price. Visitors can download the guide to their smartphone. It is recommended to bring your own smartphone and headphones to enjoy this feature
Will there be guided tours?
No. The experience includes an audio guide which explains the exhibition room by room.
I have a hearing impairment: how can I still enjoy the guide?
In this case you can request a transcript of the audio guide (available in English), which will allow you to experience Titanic. The Human Story to the fullest just like any other visitor. In this case, please ask the box office staff upon arrival.
Is there Virtual Reality?
This experience does not have virtual reality.
Is there a dress code?
There's no defined dress code for this experience; a casual look will be fine.
Will there be merchandise for sale?
Yes, there is a Titanic. The Human Story merchandise store within the experience.
ACCESS
Do I need to arrive at the start of my scheduled session?
It is recommended that you arrive at the time stated on your ticket. If you happen to arrive late, your entry will be dependent on if there is space available. This may result in an undefined waiting period or no entry to the experience.
Can I bring animals? Are service dogs allowed?
Unfortunately, no pets are allowed in this event’s location, though we do welcome service animals.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes, Uptown is an accessible venue.
What are the prohibited items at the experience? Can I smoke or vape?
Weapons, smoking, vaping, drugs, and food & beverage are strictly prohibited.
Do you offer carer tickets?
Guests requiring assistance throughout this experience are entitled to apply for one free pass for their personal assistant/support worker. For this experience, simply show proof of needing a carer ticket at the entrance and the carer will be allowed in for free.
Is the experience accessible for deaf/visually impaired people?
Deaf people will be able to enjoy this experience as it is mostly visual; however, we do not recommend this event for visually impaired people.
Will there be strobe lights?
No, there will be no strobe lights.
Will restrooms be available on site?
Uptown has restrooms conveniently located on Levels A, E, 1, 2 and 3. Restrooms providing access for the mobility impaired can be found on Levels E, 1, 2 & 3 and a parent’s room can be found on Level 2. Please ask our staff for further directions if required.
Can I take photos or record the experience?
Feel free to take photos. When taking photos, please make sure not to disturb other customers. Professional equipment, selfie sticks and tripods are not permitted.
Is there a Lost & Found?
We would recommend asking the staff at the venue if they have found your belongings. Uptown also has a Lost & Found Service available at the Customer Service Desk on Level Q during centre trading hours. The customer service desk can be contacted at
uptown.customerservice@vicinity.com.au.
Is coat check available?
Unfortunately, this venue has no coat check. Uptown does have storage lockers available for hire on Level A and Level Q.
Is there an age requirement?
All ages are welcome to this experience and the space is accessible for prams/strollers. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children up to the age of 3 do not require a ticket.
